About Dr Adib
Dr Reza Adib commenced his surgical career in 1994 at the Royal Brisbane Hospital as a surgical trainee. In 1996 he was selected to the Advanced Surgical Training program, and subsequently became a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2000.
He was selected for a Subspecialty Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Colchester, England; after a year in England, he was accepted as the international Fellow at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland’s largest centre for Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Upper Gastrointestinal disorders. Dr Adib is now a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the world’s oldest College of Surgeons.
During his three year fellowship in Edinburgh, he made numerous presentations in European meetings, and was given the opportunity to further his interests in Obesity Surgery in Lyon (France) and Salzburg (Austria).
In 2004 Dr. Adib returned home to Brisbane, and started his practice in Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal and Obesity Surgery. In 2006, he established and founded the Brisbane Obesity Clinic.
