I was inspired to have my LAP-BAND^® procedure after I had seen how it had changed the whole outlook that my husband Ian had on life.  Being overweight plus having a thyroid condition made my life pretty miserable, I had no energy & just didn’t feel like doing anything.  I weighed 159kgs when I had my operation in January 2008 so far I have lost 71kgs & I feel great, I walk & exercise every day &  things have never been better.

A lot of my workmates haven’t recognised the new me.  Some stop & say “is that you Ann”. I’ve dropped 6 dress sizes & I enjoy going shopping now.  It was great feeling giving away my old clothes. 

It was hard at first getting used to having smaller portions when eating, but now I know what I can tolerate & what I can’t it is easier.  I would highly recommend LAP-BAND^® procedure to anyone like my husband & I who had weight problems.

People need to realise that they too can get the same results as I have had simply by having the dedication & want that I did. I highly recommend the procedure as long as you are willing to make it work.
