Dr Reza Adib
Dr Reza Adib has depth of experience in laparoscopic surgery & obesity management & has studied in Australia, England, Scotland, France & Austria. This broad international background puts him in a unique position to understand & treat a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds & environments.
A snapshot of Dr Adib’s distinguished career to date:
- 1994: started his surgical career at the Royal Brisbane Hospital as a surgical trainee.
- 1996: selected to join the Advanced Surgical Program.
- 2000: became a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
- 2000-2004: studied & practiced in England, Scotland, France and Austria.
- Selected for a Subspecialty Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Colchester, England.
- Accepted as an international Fellow at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland’s largest centre for hepatobiliary, pancreatic and upper gastrointestinal disorders.
- Now a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the world’s oldest College of Surgeons.
- 2004: returned home to Brisbane to set up his own surgical practice.
