When it’s time for your surgery, we recommend arriving in Brisbane one day before your procedure. This will allow you to attend your pre-operative appointment at the Wesley Pre-Admissions Clinic and help ensure a stress-free experience without the worry of arriving late on the day of surgery.

For interstate and regional patients, it is generally recommended that you remain in Brisbane for a period following your procedure to allow for appropriate recovery and post-operative review before travelling home.

Prior to your return, follow-up appointments may be arranged with members of our healthcare team and dietitians to assess your recovery, address any concerns, and provide guidance on the next stage of your care.

The recommended length of stay may vary depending on the procedure performed, your recovery progress, and your individual circumstances.

Travel recommendations are tailored to each patient and will be discussed as part of your personalised treatment plan.

Here at Brisbane Obesity Clinic, we have a 12-month care plan with our dietitian which extends to our interstate and overseas patients. Our dietitians will consult with you at 1 week, 4 weeks, 3 months, and at 12 months after your surgery. These appointments can be completed virtually via Zoom or phone call. If you require any additional appointments with our dietitian, these can be made at your convenience.
