Mini-Gastric Bypass

Mini-Gastric Bypass (One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass)

Mini-Gastric Bypass, also known as One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass, involves connecting a lengthy pouch of the stomach to the middle section of the small intestine. The gastric pouch is constructed similar to a sleeve gastrectomy but not as long. The small bowel is then measured 150-200cm downstream and joined to the end of the gastric pouch.

Ample small intestine remains available for efficient nutrient absorption.
